This chair has been the best thing EVER!

For multiple reasons this chair has been an absolute lifesaver. Firstly, after I had a total ankle replacement having a shower seemed to be the hardest thing to do with a knee scooter in tow. however this chair easily fitted into our shower space and it made it so much easier! After I was finished with using it and I am back on my feet [literally!] I have given the chair to my Mum who is 92! She has a very small shower space and even her aged care provider could not find a shower chair [with a back for stability] to fit in her shower. The Altus shower chair fits! It takes my poor mum about an hour to get showered and wash her hair so this has been a godsend to help her out.

The aluminuim frame is actually light enough for her to move in and out of the shower by herself when she needs it. It is very sturdy and I was worried about it moving around but the wider rubber feet keep the chair firmly in place.

I have since purchased a wheelchair ramp from Altus as well, as it is super hard to find products for aged or seniors so I really rate this company well. We have steps into our house, which Mum is finding hard to get up and down - she really only comes into my house at Christmas time now but with the Altus chair and ramp - she will have the confidence that it's not that hard. Thanks Altus.

Great Chair

As a shower chair, the design is good and sturdy. As a portable potty/raised toilet chair the design is not particularly comfortable and the opening really isn't sufficient to thoroughly clean oneself when one's body is obese. Still it's one tough chair.

Easy to put together and is sturdy

We used it as a shower chair. It has wide feet and felt sturdy in the shower. The soft plastic cover made it more comfortable.
