Altus Four Wheeler Rollator (Teal) - Brilliance!

First, the product is well designed, sturdy and with clear assembly instructions. Assembly is just a matter of doing it by the numbers. We can highly recommend this product as being strong, versatile and attractive (well, in teal at least). The 8 inch front wheels are clearly an advantage over standard wheels all-round. Then again, if one is interested in an 'all terrain vehicle' then, maybe the 10 inch wheel option could be a step-up in that regard.

Secondly, I had a problem with the assembly - which turned out to be my mistake. Even though I had separated out all the parts into their relevant assembly sections, I managed to get the two long screws mixed up with the last two short screws. We are rural and remote and it was a Friday night. There were only two screws to fit and it would be job done. One of them fitted but the other one just wouldn't do it. I swapped them and still the same result. Oh no, not a complete disassembly and repack into the box and ship back!!! So, I desperately searched for the company website and found a CHAT line. It was getting on to 5pm. Over the next two and a half hours (yes, 2.5) the person on the chat and I had an asynchronous conversation. All sorts of options explored. Photos sent. Things clarified. They stayed with me all the way. Amazing! In the end, we both decided it had to go back - unknown and unusual error in manufacture. In the morning, when I was disassembling the chair, I discovered I had mixed the screws. Why one short screw worked and the other one didn't is still a mystery. Right screws in right place and we were away. I was able to reconnect to the chat and apologize profusely, explain the situation and wholeheartedly thank the chat team who stayed with me. Some time after, Ellie got back to me - so pleased that the issue had been resolved and that we were underway. Not one hint of me being a 'dodo'. PLUS, full of assurance that they were there for us should there be a problem at any time.

So, not only is the product excellent but Altus is totally brilliant!
