This is great. It was easy to assemble and is very sturdy. I bought it to use after my surgery, basically as a hospital tray table. But it can also be used as a mobile working station for later on. I do have a full size standing desk in my office, but if I ever wanted to work in another room, this desk would be perfect. It is easy to raise it up higher and you just need a little push to help you lower it back down.
Easy assembly. Very sturdy and love the hight adjustment. I can sit on the armchair, I can stand, great if one works from home.
This desk is a hidden gem. Tho, in our house it's a gem but not hidden. In our house, space is constricted, so we hadn't given much thought to upgrading her computer stand. It was starting to give out: one of those Z-fold lightweight jobbies for portable PCs.
This one is heavy weight steel, generously soldered, thickly spray-paint coated. It gives my wife a solid, stable working surface for her Mac, with room for her working papers. The base has four rollers (small and nicely hidden) that easily move the table in any direction she wants on our wooden floor.
It's a little bit awkward to assemble. However, this is entirely because the steel components are so sturdy. I'm 75, so even screwing the screws (note: they include a screwdriver!) was exercise.
Also, the height of the table is incredibly easy to adjust with the pneumatic action. Perhaps too easy? I fretted that a wayward hand-tap could send the tabletop springing upward. We'll see. Perhaps a ratchet would improve it.
Until then, we're happy; it is as if we had a psychic Santa.
My husband and I are very different heights so the pneumatic height adjustment is the best. It looks wonderful in our home because it is white and the lines and very clean so it can fit with any decor. The feet are wide enough for it to feel secure but not create a tripping hazard. Easy setup!
I'm always a bit worried purchasing furniture it will turn out to be cheap and flimsy when it arrives. Very happy to report this exceeds my expectations. I have a broken leg and my 11 year old son put it together in 10 minutes - just requires 8 screws using the included Allen key.
